New Football Pitch Inaugurated in Mwala

The Nzoka Kivuva Foundation, in partnership with the Mwala community and the Machakos County Government, officially inaugurated a new football pitch in Mwala, Machakos County. The facility provides a safe and accessible play environment for over 200 young people in the area, serving as a hub for sports, recreation, and community engagement.

The pitch, which was developed on land provided by the community, features a full-sized football field with goal posts, perimeter fencing, and basic spectator facilities. The project was funded through a combination of community contributions, foundation resources, and county government support.

A Safe Space for Youth Development

The new pitch is more than just a sports facility — it's a symbol of community partnership and investment in youth. For years, young people in Mwala had limited access to safe play spaces, forcing them to practice on uneven or unsafe grounds. The new facility changes that, providing a dedicated space where young athletes can develop their skills in a safe and supportive environment.
